  • GLOBAL DENTAL A&E ASSISTANCE SCHEME SUMMARY
Below is a brief description of the Global Dental A&E Assistance Scheme included with our dental plans. It does not contain the full terms and conditions. Full details can be found in the Global Accident and Emergency Handbook which can be access and downloaded at www.globaldentalscheme.co.uk. The Global Dental A&E assistance scheme is established to offer support to patients who request assistance or treatment following; an accident, a dental emergency or being diagnosed with mouth cancer. Whilst the scheme aims to provide benefits in most cases, the scheme is a wholly discretionary scheme, not an insurance scheme. It has no obligation to provide benefits and the Scheme Manager will look at each request individually to decide whether or not to provide benefits.
  • EMERGENCY TREATMENT BENEFITS
Benefits may be paid towards Emergency dental treatments’ cost when You are away from home and more than 25 miles from Your dental practice, and You could not reasonably access Your Dentist’s own Emergency arrangements. Benefits may be paid for Emergency Treatment up to the maximum value of £450 per emergency. For detailed treatments and limits please refer to the Global Dental A&E assistance scheme handbook. Benefits may be paid towards emergency callout and treatment charges if you suffer a dental emergency and need a dentist to provide advice by telephone, call out to visit You, or re-open their practice to see you between 6:00 pm and 8:00 am weekdays or at any time on a weekend or a bank holiday. The maximum level of Benefits which may be paid is £200 per emergency callout up to a total of £920 per year. Benefits are unlikely to be paid for the first £15 of the call out fee.
  • TREATMENT FOLLOWING ACCIDENT
If you needed Treatment provided by your registered dentist following an Accident, benefit may be paid for the cost of such Treatment up to the limits specified in the handbook, up to a maximum annual aggregate of £20,000. The maximum level of Benefits which may be paid towards any treatment following an Accident, where You only request Benefits after treatment has been provided, is £250. For full terms and conditions please refer to the Global Dental A&E Assistance Scheme Handbook.
  • KEY BENEFITS INCLUDED IN BOTH PLANS
Allows you to spread the cost of your dental care rather than having large payments. Convenient payment by monthly direct debit. More cost effective than private pay-as-you go treatment. Encourages preventive dentistry – meaning you could be less likely to need additional treatment due to any problems being caught early. Reduces the risk of oral disease and dental decay due to regular examinations. Treatments are excluded from our plans but can be carried out at your convenience on a private basis with up to 10% discount. For any questions about our services, please contact us.
